This is the part that matters most, and the honest answer differs by file type, because the formats genuinely differ.
Parsed, rendered and written entirely in your browser. The drawing data is never sent to us. If you export a DXF, PNG or SVG, that file is generated on your own machine and saved straight to your disk — it does not pass through our servers at any point.
There is no practical way to read or write the binary DWG format inside a browser, so DWG conversion runs on our server. When you convert a DWG:
We do not archive, index, inspect or train on drawings you convert. We do not keep a copy "just in case." If you send us a file for a support ticket we obviously have that file — but only because you deliberately sent it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
These are stored, because storing them is the point — you asked us to keep them so you can come back to them. They are yours. We do not read them for marketing, sell them, or use their contents to train anything. Delete a drawing and it is gone from our systems.

We record metadata about what you did, never the contents of your drawings. Concretely, when you export a file we log:
That is the whole list. Not the geometry, not the text in the drawing, not the title block, not the file name, not the layer names. A row in that table says "this account exported a DXF with about 5,000 entities on Tuesday" — and nothing that could reconstruct or identify the drawing itself.
We use it for two things: enforcing the free-tier export allowance, and working out which features are actually worth building. We also count AI assistant usage separately, for the same reasons.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to this site and to the app. It is a small script served by Cloudflare, so Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf. We are naming it here rather than burying it, because it is a third-party script and you deserve to know it is in the page.
What it records is deliberately thin:
What it does not do is the part that matters. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not build a profile of you, and cannot follow you to any other website. There is no advertising network involved and the data is never sold or shared for marketing. Cloudflare does not use it to track people across the sites it serves.
We use it to answer questions we would otherwise be guessing at — which pages people actually arrive on, and whether a feature we shipped got used. If you would rather not be counted at all, any ad blocker or privacy extension will block the script, and the site works exactly the same without it.

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Use the contact form and we will action it. Deleting your account removes your email, your saved drawings and your usage history.
If you are in the UK or EU, the lawful bases we rely on are contract (running the account you signed up for) and legitimate interests (keeping the service working and preventing abuse).
CADdillo is a professional drafting tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top. For anything material — particularly anything that would mean keeping more of your drawing data than described above — we will tell you before it takes effect, not after.
