AI-native 2D CAD

CAD without the
$2,500 attitude.

Open the DWG your vendor sent. Tell Dillo Bot what to change. Draw the rest yourself — $20/mo, not $60.

Runs in your browser. No install. Files never leave your machine.

cadillo.pages.dev
An office suite floor plan drawn in CADillo — open office, conference room, IT closet, and ADA restroom with dimensions and MEP piping.

Small commercial office suite — composed with the CADillo engine + block library.

Why CADillo

The occasional-CAD user was never the customer. Now they are.

Legacy CAD is built for people who live in it. CADillo is built for everyone who just needs to change the vendor's drawing and get on with it.

AI-native

Dillo Bot drafts — and checks its own work

Describe the change in plain English; the engine draws it, renders a preview, sees the result, and corrects. Not AI bolted onto a drawing tool — AI is the drawing tool. (Engine live today; in-app chat rolling out.)

217 blocks free

217 professional blocks — free, forever

Doors, ADA fixtures, MEP piping with every orientation, P&ID symbols, appliances, office, site. The stuff others sell as $99 symbol packs ships free in every tier, including the free one.

Opens DWG

Opens the DWG your vendor actually sent

Reads DWG from r1.2 through r2018, plus DXF. Exports DXF/DWG that every copy of AutoCAD opens. No "please re-save it as an older format" email chain.

Private

Your files never leave your machine

Viewing and drawing parse in your browser — the file is not uploaded to a server. Confidential vendor drawings and NDA plans stay on your computer, unlike cloud viewers that render server-side.

Real drafting

Real drafting, minus the ceremony

Dynamic input with feet-and-inches (12'-6"), object snap, trim, fillet, array — the AutoCAD verbs you actually use, without the command-line liturgy to invoke them.

Runs anywhere

Runs anywhere there is a browser

Desktop, laptop, tablet. Nothing to install, nothing to license per-seat, no IT ticket. Open a tab and draw.

Real drafting tools

The AutoCAD verb set. None of the ceremony.

Click to draw, drag to edit. Dynamic input shows live length and angle at the cursor and accepts feet-and-inches. Object snap locks to endpoints, midpoints, centers and intersections — on your files and vendor files alike.

  • Dynamic input with ft-in notation (12'-6")
  • Object snap + grid, on parsed vendor files too
  • Command bar with AutoCAD-style aliases & autocomplete
  • Layers: create, color, hide, lock, per-entity reassign
  • Undo / redo history on everything you draw
  • Light / dark, touch pan & pinch on tablets

Answers

Straight answers to the questions people search

Can I open a DWG file without AutoCAD?

Yes. CADillo opens DWG files (r1.2 through r2018) and DXF files directly in your browser — no AutoCAD, no install, no account. Drag the file in and pan, zoom, and inspect layers. You can export back to DXF or DWG that any copy of AutoCAD opens.

Is there a free AutoCAD alternative in the browser?

CADillo is one. The free tier gives you the full editor, all 217 professional blocks, and 3 drawings — running entirely in your browser on any operating system. Pro is $20/mo for unlimited drawings, DWG import/export, and AI credits, versus roughly $60/mo for AutoCAD LT.

Can AI draw a floor plan?

CADillo's engine can. You describe what you want — "array three flower rooms at 30 by 40", "mirror the packaging line across the corridor" — and the engine drafts it, renders a preview, checks its own work, and corrects. The engine is live today; the in-app Dillo Bot chat is rolling out.

Do my files get uploaded?

No. Viewing and drawing happen in your browser — your DWG or DXF is parsed on your own machine and is not sent to a server. That keeps confidential vendor drawings and NDA plans on your computer, unlike cloud CAD viewers that render your file server-side.

What file formats does CADillo support?

It reads DWG (r1.2–r2018) and DXF, and exports DXF/DWG that every version of AutoCAD opens, plus PNG for quick shares. Full server-side round-trip export is part of the Pro workflow.

Open the drawing. Change what you need. Move on.
