3Dillo for engineers

Show the owner the building your drawings describe.

Owners and boards sign off on what they can see. 3Dillo renders the floor plan as lit, furnished 3D stills and a walkthrough video.

3Dillo is the 3D product from the makers of CADdillo, on 3dillo.ai. Same account, same credits. Opening and exporting DWG/DXF is always free.

The problem

Where the drawing set stops helping

Owners do not read drawings

A board meeting with a plan set on the table turns into explaining what a plan set is.

Visuals wait on someone else

Presentation renders usually come from another firm, on another schedule, and lag the current plan.

Early studies have no picture

A feasibility layout needs an image people can react to before anyone pays for a model.

How 3Dillo solves it

From the plan to a picture owners understand

  1. 1

    Use the plan you have

A DWG or DXF floor plan. 3Dillo reads walls, doors, windows and rooms from the drawing.

  2. 2

    Or start from a description

Dillo, the AI drafter, draws a floor plan from a written brief, and 3Dillo renders it.

  3. 3

    Get stills and a walkthrough

Photoreal PNG stills and an MP4 walkthrough, for the owner meeting or the review packet.

Every image on this page is a 3Dillo render of a floor plan. Watch the full 3D house walkthrough.

Answers

3Dillo for engineers: questions

What engineering drawings can 3Dillo render?

Floor plans, as DWG or DXF files. 3Dillo reads the walls, doors, windows and rooms and renders the building from them. To have your own plan rendered: open the studio, sign in free and open your DWG or DXF: it shows in 3D, and Render (100 credits, or included with Premium) makes four photoreal stills of its walls and shell right there. For furnished rooms and a walkthrough video, have Dillo draw the plan and render it. For your own DWG or DXF furnished and walked through, send a note from the contact page: we reply by email, you attach the drawing to that reply, and we deliver the renders.

Does 3Dillo show structure, ductwork or piping in 3D?

No. 3Dillo renders the architecture of the floor plan: walls, doors, windows, rooms and furniture. It is a visualisation tool, not an analysis, clash-detection or coordination tool.

Can 3Dillo render commercial buildings such as offices?

Yes. 3Dillo renders commercial plans as well as houses, including offices and strip centers; the office renders on this page are from 3Dillo.

Are the renders suitable for permit or construction submittals?

No. The renders are visualisations of the drawing, not construction documents, and they are not stamped or checked against a code.

Can I use the renders in reports and owner presentations?

You keep the rights to your drawings and to the renders made from them (3Dillo terms of service). Rendered files are kept for 30 days and then deleted, so download what you want to keep.

Where is a drawing processed when it is rendered?

To render a drawing, 3Dillo builds a scene file from it (walls, rooms, openings and furniture positions) and renders it on its own machines first; when they are busy, the job runs on rented GPU servers at RunPod in their Secure Cloud data centers, and the scene file and output are deleted from that server when the job ends. Scene files and renders are stored for 30 days, then deleted.

What does a render cost?

On pay as you go, every 3D render is 100 credits, flat: a set of photoreal stills or a walkthrough video, a first render or a re-render after an edit. Credits for a render that fails are given back automatically. Pay-as-you-go credit packs are $10 for 100 credits, $20 for 250, $30 for 500 or $50 for 1,000, with no subscription. 3Dillo Premium is $99 a month, or $950 a year (20% off). Founding offer, limited time: for the first 12 months it includes unlimited AI floor plan drawings and unlimited 3D renders (photoreal stills and walkthrough videos), with AI edits included and the price locked. Unlimited is subject to fair use and available rendering capacity. The founding offer runs 12 months from signup; renewals are at the then-current Premium terms. For teams and firms, Consulting starts at $499 a month (runs on dedicated cloud GPU capacity; priced on seats and usage; scoped with your team by inquiry); a Premium account is for one person and is not shared across a team. Every new account starts with 50 free credits and no card; those are for trying the AI drafter, and a render needs a credit pack or Premium. Full details are on 3dillo.ai/pricing.

How long does a render take for an owner presentation?

There is no fixed turnaround: renders run on a shared GPU queue, a set of stills is quicker than a walkthrough, and at busy times both take longer. A walkthrough is well over a thousand rendered frames; the ranch house walkthrough at caddillo.com/3d-house-walkthrough/ is 1,606 frames, 67 seconds at 24 frames a second.
